Beta: The Workday Learning Integration is currently available as a beta feature. Your feedback helps shape future improvements and capabilities. If you have questions, ideas, or need assistance, contact your Customer Success Manager or lms-support@honehq.com.
Overview
The Workday Learning Integration publishes supported Hone learning content to Workday Learning and reports learner enrollment and completion data back to Workday Learning. Administrators manage learning content in Hone, while learners can discover, enroll in, and launch Hone learning from within their Workday Learning experience.
How the Integration Works
The Workday Learning Integration publishes supported learning content from Hone to Workday Learning, where learners can discover, enroll in, and launch learning directly from their Workday Learning experience. Learners complete the learning in Hone, and enrollment status and completion data are automatically reported back to Workday Learning.
Hone remains the source of truth for learning content and learner progress. Administrators create and manage learning in Hone, while Workday Learning provides learners with a unified discovery experience, enrollment management, and centralized learning records..
Supported Capabilities
The Workday Learning Integration extends the Hone learning experience into Workday Learning by providing the following capabilities:
- Publish Hone AI Sessions and Live Sessions to Workday Learning.
- Publish Programs and their associated learning content to Workday Learning.
- Allow learners to discover, enroll in, and launch Hone learning directly from Workday Learning.
- Report learner enrollment and completion data from Hone to Workday Learning.
- Automatically publish supported updates to learning content.
- Automatically synchronize learner enrollments initiated in Hone.
- Automatically synchronize learner completion status from Hone.
Note: The learning content published to Workday Learning depends on your organization's Hone subscription. AI Sessions and Live Sessions from the Hone Membership catalog are published only if they are included in your contract. Contact your Customer Success Manager or lms-support@honehq.com if you have questions about the learning content available to your organization.
Content Mapping
Hone and Workday Learning use different terminology for similar learning objects. The following table shows how supported Hone content is represented in Workday Learning after it is published.
| Hone | Workday Learning | Description |
|---|---|---|
| AI Session | Digital Course | Self-paced learning experience |
| Live Session | Course & Course Offering | Instructor-led learning session |
| Program | Learning Program | A collection of related learning |
Learner Experience
After the integration is connected, published Hone learning becomes available throughout Workday Learning. Learners can discover Hone content using search, browse, learning assignments, or Learning Programs, depending on how learning is organized within their Workday tenant.
Discovering Learning
Published Hone learning appears alongside other learning available in Workday Learning, allowing learners to discover Hone content through their existing Workday Learning experience.
Enrolling in Learning
Learners can enroll in supported Hone learning directly from Workday Learning. Enrollment information is automatically synchronized between Hone and Workday Learning to ensure learner records remain up to date.
Launching Learning
Selecting Hone content in Workday Learning opens the corresponding learning experience in Hone. Learners can move seamlessly from discovering learning in Workday Learning to completing it in Hone.
Completion Reporting
After a learner completes supported Hone learning, completion information is automatically reported to Workday Learning and appears in the learner's learning transcript and reporting.
Note: Changing enrollment or completion status directly in Workday Learning does not update the learner's enrollment or completion status in Hone.
Limitations
The Workday Learning Integration is designed to publish learning content and learner progress from Hone to Workday Learning. Administrators should be aware of the following limitations:
- Hone is the source of truth for all published learning content.
- Changes made to published learning content in Workday Learning are not reflected back to Hone.
- Enrollment or completion changes made directly in Workday Learning are not reflected in Hone.
- Historical learner enrollment and completion data is not published during the initial connection.
- User provisioning is not managed by the integration.
- Only supported Hone learning objects are published to Workday Learning.
