Overview
Private sessions give teams a dedicated learning experience at a time that works for them. Managers can now request a private session of any class in Hone’s catalog for their team,, making it easier to put your organization’s existing Hone credits to use. Managers can also choose to fund the session directly.
How It Works
- A manager browses the classes in Hone’s catalog.
- They pick a class they’d like to bring to their team.
- They submit a request for a private session and share why they’re requesting it.
- They can choose to fund the session with their own budget, or request funding from an administrator.
- Your organization is kept informed of any requests as they come in.
When a manager clicks Request private session, they’ll see a form asking when they’d like the session, how it will be paid for, and why they want it for their team.
Disable the Ability to Request Private Sessions
If you’d rather not offer this to your managers, you can turn it off at any time. Go to Team Settings > Features > General and toggle Private Session Requests off.
FAQ
Will I be notified when a manager submits a request?
Yes. Admins are kept informed of any private session requests submitted by managers in their organization. These updates will come from your Customer Account Manager so you can coordinate on whether you would like to support the request.
Can managers request any class in the catalog?
Yes. Managers can request a private session for any class currently available in Hone’s catalog.
Does the manager need their own budget?
No. When submitting a request, a manager can choose to fund it with their own budget or indicate that they need support from L&D instead.
How do I let my managers know about this feature?
Hone provides an email template you can send to your managers to introduce the feature and walk them through how to submit a request. Reach out to your Hone contact if you’d like help customizing it.
I’m an admin, but I don’t see this option. Why?
Private Session Requests are visible to managers. If you haven’t been set up as a manager on the platform, you won’t see this option.
Please reach out to support@honehq.com if you have any questions about private session requests.
