Managing 1:1 Coaching for your organization

  • Updated

Hone 1:1 Coaching gives your organization a way to provide personalized coaching to managers, leaders, and other employees who would benefit from dedicated development support.

As a Hone admin, you can use the Coaching dashboard in the Hone admin console to give learners access to coaching and track participation, usage, and outcomes across your organization.

Don’t see 1:1 Coaching in your Hone admin console? Contact your Hone account manager or Hone Support to learn more about adding 1:1 Coaching to your organization.

Access your Coaching dashboard

From the Hone admin console, select Coaching in the top navigation to open your organization's 1:1 Coaching dashboard.

The dashboard provides an overview of your coaching program, including the number of learners participating, sessions attended, and average session value based on learner feedback.

You can also manage learner access and explore more detailed participation and survey results from this page.

Managing learner access

You can add learners to 1:1 Coaching directly from the Coaching dashboard in the Hone admin console.

Select Add learners to coaching, then enter one or more learners' work email addresses. Press Enter, Tab, or comma to separate each address, then select Add learners to confirm.

Each learner receives their allocated coaching sessions and a welcome email with a link to begin their coaching journey in Hone.

If you need to make a change that isn't available from the Coaching dashboard, such as removing a learner from the program or changing their coaching access, contact Hone Support for assistance.

Learners who need to change their selected coach can also contact Hone Support directly.

What learners can expect

Once you give a learner access to 1:1 Coaching, Hone guides them through the coaching experience:

  1. Welcome and onboarding: The learner receives a welcome email introducing 1:1 Coaching, explaining what to expect, and directing them to their coaching experience in Hone.
  2. Intake: The learner completes a short intake about their role, goals, leadership challenges, and what they hope to accomplish through coaching.
  3. Coach selection: Hone recommends coaches based on the learner's intake. The learner can review coach profiles and choose the coach who feels like the best fit.
  4. Scheduling: The learner can view their coach's availability and book their allocated coaching sessions directly in Hone.
  5. Coaching: The learner continues working with the same coach across their sessions, creating continuity as they work toward their goals.
  6. Reflection and feedback: After each session, the learner is prompted to reflect on the experience and provide feedback, helping Hone track the value and outcomes of coaching over time.

Learners can book their sessions upfront or return to Hone to schedule them throughout their coaching access period.

Track your 1:1 Coaching program

The Coaching dashboard gives you visibility into how coaching is being used across your organization, helping you monitor learner progress, participation, and outcomes.

Learners

Select Learners to view the individuals participating in your organization's 1:1 Coaching program.

For each learner, you can see their assigned coach, coaching status, invitation date, next scheduled session, allocated sessions, scheduled sessions, and attended sessions.

You can also filter learners by coach or status to understand who has been invited, who is actively progressing through coaching, and who has completed their engagement.

This helps you identify learners who may need encouragement to get started or schedule their remaining sessions.

Survey results

Select Survey results to understand the impact of your organization's coaching program based on learner feedback.

The dashboard includes metrics such as session value, overall coaching experience, and confidence in applying what was learned.

You can also review feedback collected at different stages of the coaching journey:

  • After every session: Understand how learners rate the value of their individual coaching sessions.
  • At the end of the engagement: Review overall experience, confidence to apply learning, and key takeaways or shifts reported by learners.

These insights help you evaluate the effectiveness of your coaching program and understand the outcomes learners are experiencing.
