Learning Leaders can activate membership for learners at any time using our 'Activate Membership Anytime' feature. This functionality allows Learning Leaders to immediately grant learners access to the full Hone membership catalog, enabling them to enroll in classes as soon as their membership is activated. Membership access can be activated through email or via a link.
Steps to Activate Membership via Email
Learning leaders can enter email addresses to activate membership and provide immediate access to learners. Once activated, learners will receive a Welcome email of their new access.
- Sign-in to your Hone portal and go to Membership.
- Select Activate Learners on the right corner.
3. To activate individual membership using the learner’s email address, click via email.

- To share the activation Membership link with learners, click via link and proceed to Activate membership via Link section in this article.
- Paste the email addresses to activate membership and hit Enter.

Learners under the ‘Added’ tab will be granted membership access.
- Learners under the ‘Flagged’ tab already have membership access. See the FAQ session for more information.
- Select Next and Confirm.

Learners under the ‘Added’ tab will receive an email.
- Click here to view the Activation Membership email learners will receive.
- Learners under the ‘Flagged’ tab will not receive an email.
Steps to Share Membership Activation Link
Learning leaders can now share a URL that allows learners to self-activate their membership access without needing to collect individual email addresses. This self-activation link can be easily shared via LMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email. This option also empowers learners to activate their own membership and start their learning journey with Hone.
- Sign in to your Hone portal and go to the Membership tab.
- Click Activate Learners and click via link.
3. A window will pop up. Click Copy and paste the membership activation link to share with the learners.
- This link can be conveniently shared in LMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email like in the image below:
FAQ
- New learners with membership access will have access to the Hone platform and can begin registering for classes.
- Learners with existing membership access will be reactivated without an expiration date.
- Please email support@honehq.com if the 'Add Learner' button is grayed out.
- Please complete the Admin Support Form to deactivate membership for a learner.
