Hone AI Sessions (AI Lessons & Practices)

  • Updated

Hone AI is a live AI coach that upskills employees in the flow of work, built on Hone’s extensive ecosystem of live learning experiences and research-backed content.

Hone AI supercharges employee development through:

  • AI-Led Training. An interactive, on-demand tutor that delivers personalized, live training through voice, text, and visuals.
  • AI Practice: Personalized conversation coach for practice with realistic simulations, tailored to each employee’s unique needs.

AI Sessions allow learners to supplement Hone’s live class experiences by leveraging AI to practice and learn more about the topics covered in classes that learners have attended. AI Sessions can adapt to what the learners share during the session, as it aligns with the lesson objective. This experience enables learners to engage in a live conversation with the AI, whether through spoken word or chat.

  1. Click ‘Join in voice mode'.
    1. If you would rather complete the lesson in Chat Mode, select ‘Join in chat mode'.

Enabling/Disabling AI Sessions

Admins can enable/disable the AI Sessions from their Admin Dashboard.

If an Admin disables Hone AI, learners will no longer see the ‘AI Sessions’ on their Learner Dashboard.

Before Hone AI is enabled for an organization, we recommend checking with your IT team to verify network access to the following domains.

  •
    • Domain requirements: api.elevenlabs.io should be reachable over WSS/WebSocket Secure (port 443).
    • Verification depends on the customer's network policies, but here's some general guidance that admins can share with their IT teams:
      • If the organization's network blocks access to the required domain or protocols, some Hone AI features may not work as expected.

Steps to Enable / Disable Hone AI

  1. Log in to the Hone platform.
  2. Open ‘Team Settings’ on the top right side of the Admin Dashboard.
  3. Click ‘AI features' on the left side of the screen.
  4. Under Hone AI, toggle 'On, Admin only, or off'.
    • On: Learners with Membership access will have access to AI Sessions on their dashboard.
    • Admins only: only users with Hone Admin access will have access to Hone AI Sessions.
    • Off: Learners will not see the AI Sessions on their dashboard.
  5. Once you click your desired option, it will be saved automatically.

Microphone Usage for Voice Mode

Learners will need to give Hone microphone permissions in their browser if they would like to proceed with the conversational AI Lessons/Practice experience. Hone will initially ask learners for permission, but if a learner accidentally says 'no' and then needs to change it later, the platform can't re-prompt them; they need to give permission to the microphone themselves.
