Beta: The Degreed Integration is currently available as a beta feature. Your feedback helps shape future improvements and capabilities. If you have questions, ideas, or need assistance, contact your Customer Success Manager or lms-support@honehq.com
Overview
The Degreed Integration publishes supported Hone learning content to Degreed and reports learner completion data back to Degreed. Administrators manage learning content in Hone, while learners can discover and launch Hone learning from within their Degreed learning experience.
How the Integration Works
The Degreed Integration publishes supported learning content from Hone to Degreed, where learners can discover and launch learning directly from their Degreed learning experience. Learners complete the learning in Hone, and completion data is automatically reported back to Degreed.
Hone remains the source of truth for learning content. Administrators create and manage learning in Hone, while Degreed provides learners with a unified discovery experience and centralized completion reporting.
Supported Capabilities
The Degreed Integration extends the Hone learning experience into Degreed by providing the following capabilities:
- Publish Hone AI and Live Sessions to Degreed.
- Publish Programs and their content as Degreed Pathways.
- Allow learners to discover and launch Hone learning directly from Degreed.
- Report learner completion data from Hone to Degreed.
- Automatically publish updates to supported learning content.
Note: The learning content published to Degreed depends on your organization's Hone subscription. AI Sessions and Live Sessions from the Hone Membership catalog are published only if they are included in your contract. Contact your Customer Success Manager or lms-support@honehq.com if you have questions about the learning content available to your organization.
Content Mapping
Hone and Degreed use different terminology for similar learning objects. The following table shows how supported Hone content is represented in Degreed after it is published.
| Hone | Degreed | Description |
|---|---|---|
| AI Session | Course | Self-paced learning experience |
| Live Session | Live Event | Instructor-led session |
| Program | Pathway | A collection of related learning |
Learner Experience
After the integration is connected, published Hone learning becomes available throughout the Degreed learning experience. Learners can discover Hone content using search, recommendations, or Pathways, depending on how content is surfaced within their organization's Degreed environment.
Discovering Learning
Published Hone learning appears alongside other learning available in Degreed, allowing learners to discover Hone content through their existing Degreed experience.
Launching Learning
Selecting Hone content in Degreed opens the corresponding learning experience in Hone. Learners can move seamlessly from discovering learning in Degreed to completing it in Hone.
Completion Reporting
After a learner completes supported Hone learning, the completion is automatically reported to Degreed and appears in the learner's learning history and reporting.
Note: Changing a completion status directly in Degreed does not update the learner's completion status in Hone.
Limitations
The Degreed Integration is designed to publish learning content from Hone to Degreed. Administrators should be aware of the following limitations:
- Hone is the source of truth for all published learning content.
- Changes made to published learning content in Degreed are not reflected back to Hone.
- Required learning assignments and learner completions created in Degreed are not reflected in Hone.
- Historical learning data is not published to Degreed during the initial connection.
- User provisioning and learner enrollments are not managed by the integration.
- Only supported Hone learning objects are published to Degreed.
