Docebo Integration

  • Updated

Beta: The Docebo Integration is currently available as a beta feature. Your feedback helps shape future improvements and capabilities. If you have questions, ideas, or need assistance, contact your Customer Success Manager or lms-support@honehq.com.

Overview

The Docebo Integration publishes supported Hone learning content to Docebo and synchronizes learner enrollment and attendance data between the two platforms. Administrators manage learning content in Hone, while learners can discover and enroll in Hone learning through their Docebo experience.

How the Integration Works

The Docebo Integration publishes supported Hone Programs to Docebo as courses. Enrolling groups within those Programs are represented as Docebo sessions, and scheduled Hone sessions are represented as Docebo events.

Learners can enroll in supported learning from either Docebo or Hone. Supported enrollment and attendance activity is synchronized between the platforms so learner records remain up to date.

Hone remains the source of truth for learning content, while Docebo provides learners with a centralized learning discovery and enrollment experience.

Supported Capabilities

The Docebo Integration extends the Hone learning experience into Docebo by providing the following capabilities:

  • Publish supported Hone Programs to Docebo.
  • Publish enrolling groups and their scheduled sessions.
  • Allow learners to enroll in supported Hone learning from Docebo.
  • Automatically synchronize supported learner enrollments between Hone and Docebo.
  • Automatically synchronize learner attendance from Hone to Docebo.
  • Configure supported Docebo course enrollment behavior.
  • Assign published Programs to a specific Docebo category.

Course Configuration

Published courses can support the following Docebo configuration options:

  • Enable session change: Allow learners to switch between available sessions.
  • Enable self-unenrollment: Allow learners to unenroll themselves from a course.
  • Enable session self-unenrollment: Allow learners to unenroll themselves from individual sessions.
  • Enable unenrollment on course completion: Automatically unenroll learners after completing a course. This is disabled by default.
  • Custom category assignment: Publish Programs to a specific Docebo category.

Note: The learning content available through the integration depends on your organization's Hone subscription. Contact your Customer Success Manager or lms-support@honehq.com if you have questions about the learning content available to your organization.

Content Mapping

Hone and Docebo use different terminology for similar learning objects. The following table shows how supported Hone content is represented in Docebo.

Hone Docebo Description
Program Course A collection of related Hone learning
Program Group Session A group of learners participating in a Program
Live Session Event A scheduled instructor-led learning session

Learner Experience

After the integration is connected, published Hone learning becomes available in Docebo, allowing learners to use their existing Docebo experience to discover and enroll in supported Hone learning.

Discovering Learning

Published Hone Programs appear as courses in Docebo and can be organized using Docebo categories and learning plans.

Enrolling in Learning

Learners can enroll in supported Hone learning directly from Docebo. Enrollment information is synchronized to Hone so the learner is enrolled in the corresponding Hone Program group.

Learners can also be enrolled directly in Hone, with supported enrollment information synchronized back to Docebo.

Launching Learning

Learners can access their Hone learning experience from the corresponding learning content published in Docebo.

Attendance Reporting

After a learner attends a supported Hone Live Session, attendance information is synchronized to Docebo so learner records remain up to date across both platforms.

Limitations

Administrators should be aware of the following limitations:

  • Hone is the source of truth for published learning content.
  • Changes made to Hone learning content directly in Docebo are not reflected back to Hone.
  • Deleting published Hone courses, sessions, events, or users in Docebo does not delete the corresponding resources in Hone.
  • Historical Hone Programs, learner enrollments, and attendance data are not imported when the integration is first connected.
