As a Learning Leader, you can manage and monitor your organization’s membership and private programs and can conveniently access comprehensive insights into your learners' progress.
Before Creating a New Program
To help get things started, here's a list of information you'll want to have ready before creating a new program:
- Choose a name for your program.
- Decide which program you want to build. We recommend starting with one of our Hone programs.
- Here's a helpful guide in picking your classes.
- See the Hone Program Overview section on this page.
- Prepare a short program description and program goal to share with participants.

Steps to Create a Program
- Log in to the Hone portal.
- Click the 'Create New Program' button
- Click ‘Add class’ to start adding classes to the program.
- Using the list of available classes, select the class that will be a part of the program.
- Click ‘Add Class’
- To select a curated pre-built program from our Class Catalog, select 'Add recommended program' and choose your program.
- You can drag the class to change their order and click 'Next'.
- Add Program Details and click ‘Next’.
- Review your program to ensure the classes and information are correct and select ‘Create program’.
Create a Learner Profile
Let's add information for individuals you plan to invite to your program.
- Set up HRIS integration
- Upload learner information via CSV file

Log in to the Hone portal and click on ‘Learners’ on the top page.

Click on 'Upload Learners'.

For the csv template, click 'Download and fill in our template'. When your template is completed, click 'Next'.
- Ensure the required field of first_name, last_name, and employee_email is filled out.
- Click 'Find File', select the .csv file to upload, and click 'Next' to proceed with uploading.
- If the .csv has no errors, click 'Next' to continue.
- A Preview Upload screen will appear when all data in the .csv file meets the criteria, identifying how many learners will be uploaded with details for new learners or existing learners. Click 'Upload Learners' to complete the csv upload.

Add Groups & Invite Learners to Private Program
For Membership programs, skip to 'Invite Learners to Membership Program'.
Add Groups
- Go to the Hone portal
- Select the desired Program.
- On the top right, click 'Add group.'
- Enter the group name.
Best Practice Tip: Year Group Number (e.g. 2023: Group 1) - Select the desired cadence (Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Custom).
Recommend weekly cadence for higher engagement and attendance. - Schedule: Select the time zone, date, and time, for the first class.
Tip: Select the time zone first.- The launch date of the group is a minimum of 3 weeks in the future.
- If weekly or bi-weekly cadence, all other dates will automatically be populated based on the cadence selected.
- If custom cadence, you will be required to select the date and time of each class.

- Bulk creation mode: Toggle this switch to create multiple groups simultaneously.
- When ready, select 'Create Group':
- Create a group as a draft and confirm there are no internal scheduling conflicts or holidays.
- When the schedule is finalized, click 'Find Coach'.

Invite learners to enroll
- Log in to the Hone portal and click on the Program you want to invite learners to enroll in.
- Click on ‘Add Learners’.
- Click on 'Invite' and click 'Next'.
- Select the group(s) you would like the learners to choose during 'Enrollment'. Toggle 'Enable learners to enroll in any group, including those that open in the future' to enable the waitlist.
- Learners invited to 'any group' will be notified when new groups become available.
- Click ‘Next’.
- Paste the learner emails that you want to invite.
- Click 'Next'.
- The learners on the ‘Ready’ page will receive an email to enroll. Click ‘Send invites’.

Invite learners to enroll
- Log in to the admin dashboard.
- Click on the program you want to invite learners to.
- Click ‘Add learners’ at the top right corner.
- Paste the learners' emails that you want to invite and click ‘Next’.
- Select a program due date.
- The learners under the ‘Ready’ tab will be invited to sign up for classes that best suit their schedule. Click ‘Send Invites’.
